As per the recent report from AllThingD, Apple is all set to unveil the next generation iPad in the first week of March. AllThingsD have most accurate sources when it comes to any leaks about Apple events. Previously, their sources informed about the iPhone event and then NewYork event which happened only in those intervals. Now, the iPad 3 is about to reach stores starting from next month.
Multiple sources have reported about the possibility of quad core processor in the iPad 3. Due to evidences, it is assumed that Apple is testing the iPad 3 on iOS 5.1 Beta which is yet to released for public. Their sources also tell them that iPad 3 would be available for the purchase from Apple Stores in the next week itself. Last year, Apple unveiled iPad 2 on March 2 and it made its way to stores on March 11.
Apple is also expected to call the chip which would boost the performance of the device as ‘A6’. This nomenclature is based on the typical tradition which has been evolved since Apple has come up with A4 (single core) chip in their devices. In addition to a faster processor, there would be an improvement in graphics. This is another area where Apple has shown continuous growth.
And of course, a high resolution display or retina display (2048 x 1536). Whatever the display would be, AllThingsD sources claims it to have much more pixels than current generation iPad. The event could be kicked off at Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. It is one of the place where Apple does big announcements.
